REWARD OFFERED IN WICOMICO CO. HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
(Hebron, MD) – As police continue to search for the suspect or suspects involved in a Wicomico County homicide early yesterday, a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. Preston Morehouse, 19, who had been living at a home in the 27000-block of Ocean Gateway, in Hebron, was found dead yesterday morning when troopers responded to a 911 call from that home. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy today and ruled the manner of death was homicide and cause of death was a gunshot wound. The Wicomico County Crime Solvers organization is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder. Anyone with information about this homicide is urged to call Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776. The identities of callers may be kept confidential. Maryland State Police Homicide Unit investigators are specifically asking for the public’s help in obtaining information about anyone walking along Rt. 50, or any vehicles parked along Rt. 50 in the area of Hebron between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. yesterday, Sunday, January 17, 2010. Anyone who was traveling through that area during those times yesterday is urged to contact Maryland State Police investigators at 410-749-3101, or they can call the Crime Solvers tips line. Morehouse apparently moved to Maryland within the last two weeks and had been staying with the residents of the home where the shooting occurred. Information indicates Morehouse has previously lived in Florida and Virginia.
